What is Chloroprocaine

Chloroprocaine is a short-acting local anesthetic of the ester type, similar in structure to procaine.

Chloroprocaine is indicated for infiltration anesthesia and peripheral, sympathetic, epidural, caudal, subarachnoid, and intravenous regional (Bier’s method) blocks.

Chloroprocaine is not effective as a topical anesthetic.
