Which vascular disorders can appear as mediastinal masses?
Aortic aneurysm, aortic pseudoaneurysm, aortic dissection, and traumatic aortic rupture can appear as a mediastinal mass, most often projecting from the left side of the mediastinum on chest radiography. Cross-sectional imaging shows enlargement of the aorta in the setting of aortic aneurysm and sometimes in the setting of the latter two conditions. Also, mediastinal hematoma may be seen if aortic rupture has occurred
