What is Temozolomide
Temozolomide is an alkylating agent that is indicated for the treatment of newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme in combination with radiotherapy followed by monotherapy maintenance therapy and for the treatment of refractory anaplastic astrocytoma in patients who have experienced disease progression after a nitrosourea and procarbazine-containing regimen.
Severe hematologic toxicity and hepatotoxicity have been reported with temozolomide therapy.
