All-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) is a therapy specifically used to treat patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia. Alveolar hemorrhage is a well-known side effect. As in other causes of alveolar hemorrhage, one sees widespread ground glass opacities and areas of pulmonary consolidation.
