What are the clinical features of heel fat pad atrophy?
- • Pain with prolonged standing or walking.
- • Pain with initial weight-bearing (i.e., in the morning).
- • Tenderness to palpation in the central, plantar region of the heel.
- • Pain to palpation is improved with augmenting the fat pad (simultaneously squeezing the medial and lateral sides of the heel to force the subcutaneous tissue in a plantar direction).
