How to evaluate a pelvic mass in women
If a woman has a pelvic mass, what study would be helpful for further evaluation?
Either pelvic MRI or US would be useful to determine the organ of origin of the mass (e.g., gynecologic vs. nongynecologic, and uterine vs. ovarian) and to characterize it further. HSG has no role in this clinical situation.
