What EUS findings predict malignancy in thickened gastric folds?
Definitive diagnosis of thickened gastric folds is difficult despite the use of EUS. These EUS findings are more predictive of malignancy: thickened submucosa, muscularis propria, or serosa; presence of ascites or lymphadenopathy. The etiologic factors of gastric wall thickening caused by thickened mucosa or deep mucosa can be diagnosed by biopsy or snare resection.
