Ultrasound findings in Nephronophthisis

What are the ultrasound findings in Nephronophthisis?

The kidney ultrasound of patients with Nephronophthisis may initially be normal; however, with time, it shows small, hyperechoic kidneys with small, 1 to 2 mm corticomedullary cysts.

The absence of medullary cysts does not rule out the diagnosis of NPHP.
