What is the relationship between chondrocalcinosis and primary hyperparathyroidism?
Up to 15% of patients with chondrocalcinosis will be found to have primary hyperparathyroidism. Conversely, over 50% of patients with long-standing primary hyperparathyroidism will have radiographic evidence of chondrocalcinosis.
