What is MRI directed Ultrasound?
MRI-directed US is an examination performed after an abnormal finding on breast MRI to evaluate the sonographic characteristics of the finding and to determine whether the finding can be sampled using ultrasound guidance. US is a less expensive and more comfortable option for the patient and also does not require an injection of contrast.
