Miscellaneous Rheumatic syndromes in HIV

What other miscellaneous rheumatic syndromes are described in patients with HIV?

Fibromyalgia has been reported in 10% to 30% of HIV-infected patients. Nonspecific musculoskeletal complaints are common, described in up to 60% of patients at some point with HIV infection and treatment. Tendinitis, bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, adhesive capsulitis, and Dupuytren’s contracture may occur particularly in patients treated with protease inhibitors (i.e., indinavir). Hyperuricemia is common in HIV patients and gout can occur; there may be an association with ritonavir and indinavir.
