What is Romiplostim
Romiplostim is an injectable thrombopoietin receptor agonist produced by recombinant DNA technology in Escherichia coli.
It is used for the treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who have had an insufficient response to corticosteroids, immunoglobins, or splenectomy; it may also be used in children and adolescents with ITP for at least 6 months who have insufficient response to these treatments.
