Ambenonium Chloride

Ambenonium Chloride Brand Name– Mytelase

What is Ambenonium Chloride

Ambenonium chloride is an oral slowly reversible anticholinesterase agent.

It is indicated for use in patients with myasthenia gravis to improve muscle strength.

Ambenonium chloride’s actions are similar to those of pyridostigmine, but it tends to produce more muscarinic side effects.

There can be a narrow margin between dosages producing the first appearance of adverse effects and those causing serious reactions.

This drug was approved by the FDA in 1956.
