Surgical resection (typically lobectomy or pneumonectomy with lymph node resection), chemotherapy, and radiation therapy may be used depending on the stage of disease and the histology of the tumor. Cessation of tobacco use is also part of treatment. Techniques such as percutaneous ablation of focal lung or bronchial tumors as well as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) are also available.
