Symptoms of solitary fibrous tumor of the pleura
Of solitary fibrous tumors of the pleura, 50% may be asymptomatic. Symptoms and signs, when present, may include cough, dyspnea, hemoptysis, chest pain, and sensation of a mass. Paraneoplastic syndromes, such as hypoglycemia, digital clubbing, and hypertrophic osteoarthropathy, are uncommon but may be associated with an intrathoracic mass.
