Symptoms of Microscopic polyangiitis

Patients typically present with acute onset of RPGN (100%) with up to 50% having pulmonary infiltrates and/or effusions. Up to 30% have DAH with hemoptysis. Other manifestations include fever (50%–70%), arthralgias (30%–65%), gastrointestinal tract involvement (50%), purpura (40%), ears/nose/throat involvement (30%), and peripheral or CNS disease (25%–30%). Although uncommon, some patients present with the insidious onset of these symptoms.
