• Abnormal fetal genital development. Postnatal consequences of this include sex steroid imbalance, including abnormal patterns of growth and maturation, and impaired fertility.
• Abnormal blood pressure regulation: disturbance in sodium and potassium homeostasis. Abnormal salt wasting or volume overload is important for blood pressure.
