some secondary MRI findings of ACL rupture
- • Anterior translation of the tibia in relation to the femur by greater than 7 mm.
- • Segond fracture: an avulsion fracture from the lateral tibial plateau by the lateral capsular ligament.
- • “Kissing contusions” in the anterior aspect of the lateral femoral condyle and posterior aspect of the lateral tibial plateau occurring as a result of pivot-shift injury.
- • “Deep lateral femoral sulcus” sign: depression of the sulcus terminalis portion of the lateral femoral condyle
