What is a pulmonary artery sling?
A pulmonary sling arises when the left pulmonary artery (LPA) arises anomalously from the posterior right pulmonary artery, creating an abnormal LPA course posterior to the trachea and anterior to the esophagus. This is associated with presence of complete cartilaginous tracheal rings and tracheomalacia, which are often associated with symptoms including wheezing and respiratory distress
