What is magnetic resonance Urogram?

MRU uses magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to evaluate the renal parenchyma and collecting systems for urothelial abnormalities. Intravenous administration of gadolinium-based contrast material as well as a diuretic are utilized to depict the collecting systems and ureters. MR images are acquired in axial, coronal, and sagittal planes.
