How is arachnodactyly (spider digits) recognized?
• The thumb sign, or Steinberg’s sign, is a protrusion of the entire distal phalanx past the hypothenar border when the hand is clenched in a fist
• The wrist sign, or Walker–Murdoch sign, means that the top of the thumb overlaps the entire fingernail of the fifth finger when they encircle the wrist of the opposite hand.
