Genital ulcers of Behcets disease
Aphthous ulcers similar to those in the mouth also occur on the genitalia, most frequently the scrotum and vulva.
The penis and the perianal and vaginal mucosa are less often involved. Lesions in men tend to be more painful than those in women.
Genital ulcers are usually deeper than oral lesions and may leave scars after healing (66%). Vulvar ulcers often develop during the premenstrual stage of the cycle.
