What is the difference between a ligament and a tendon?
A ligament is a specialized form of connective tissue, which attaches one bone to another. It frequently reinforces the joint capsule and provides stability to the joint. A tendon attaches a muscle to a bone. Both are comprised mostly of type I collagen.
