What are the catecholamines that can be detected in human plasma?
There are six detectable catecholamines in human plasma: the three main catecholamines of the body (epinephrine, NE, and dopamine [DA]), their precursor ( l -3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine [DOPA; levodopa]), and the metabolites of NE (dihydroxyphenylglycol [DHPG]) and DA (dihydroxyphenylacetic acid).
