What is Meropenem and Vaborbactam

Meropenem and vaborbactam is a combination of meropenem, a carbapenem antibacterial, and vaborbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, indicated for complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs) including pyelonephritis in adults caused by susceptible E. coliK. pneumoniae, and E. cloacae.

Meropenem and vaborbactam has activity against meropenem-resistant organisms, including Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing Enterobacteriaceae.
