Fam Trastuzumab deruxtecan Brand Name– ENHERTU
What is Fam Trastuzumab deruxtecan
Fam trastuzumab deruxtecan is a HER2-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) that contains the humanized anti-HER2 IgG1, trastuzumab, covalently linked to the topoisomerase I inhibitor drug, DXd (a derivative of exatecan) by a stable protease-cleavable maleimide tetrapeptide linker.
It is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with unresectable or metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer who have received two or more prior anti-HER2-based regimens in the metastatic setting; in the clinical trial, the median number of prior cancer regimens in the locally advanced/metastatic setting was 5 (range, 2 to 17).
Cases of interstitial lung disease and pneumonitis have been reported with fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan treatment; use with caution in patients with a history of lung disease.
Do not substitute fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan for or with other trastuzumab-based products.
