Which structures arise from the prosencephalon mesencephalon rhombencephalon?
The prosencephalon develops into the telencephalon, which includes the cerebral cortex and basal ganglia, and the diencephalon, which includes the thalamus and the hypothalamus.
The mesencephalon gives rise to the midbrain.
The rhombencephalon gives rise to the metencephalon (pons plus cerebellum) and myelencephalon (medulla).
