Histologic organization of skeletal muscle

What is the histologic organization of skeletal muscle?

Skeletal muscle is composed of long, thin, cylindrical, multinucleated cells called muscle fibers (or myofibrils).

Each fiber has a motor endplate at its neuromuscular junction and is surrounded by connective tissue called endomysium .

Groups of fibers, or a fascicle, are surrounded by a connective tissue layer called the perimysium .

Fascicles are grouped together and surrounded by epimysium.
