Standard of care treatment for low grade glioma
Is there any standard of care treatment for patients with low grade glioma?
Currently, there is a lack of consensus regarding treatment because of a lack of randomized clinical trials.
Recent data have suggested that high-risk (defined as biopsy/subtotal resection or age greater than 40) patients with low-grade glioma benefit more from treatment consisting of radiation followed by PCV compared to radiation alone. However, further studies and validation are needed.
