The acute form is called acute phosphate nephropathy.
The following factors increase risk for development of acute phosphate nephropathy.
It is notable that two-thirds of patients that developed acute phosphate nephropathy had three or more of these risk factors.
Acute phosphate nephropathy may resolve or progress to Chronic Kidney Disease.
