What is the relationship between multifocal atrial tachycardia and magnesium?
MAT is a type of atrial tachycardia where the P-wave originates from multiple foci in the atrium, outside of the sinoatrial node. This results in multiple morphologies of the P-wave. IV magnesium is considered an effective therapy for MAT, especially when associated with hypomagnesemia.
