Primary symptoms of chronic vestibular impairment

What are the primary symptoms of chronic vestibular impairment?

Chronic vestibular dysfunction is characterized by fewer vasovagal symptoms but patients may have impairments of the motor functions influenced by the vestibular system.

Therefore, they often describe having vertigo, disequilibrium, stomach awareness or nausea, blurred vision, and sensitivity to visual motion.

These symptoms are usually less intense than during an acute attack.

Patients may have anxiety about their condition. They may limit their activities at home, at work, and in the community as a result of their symptoms.
