Major input pathways to the cerebellum

Cerebellar inputs include corticopontine fibers (related to planning and initiation of movement), fibers from the inferior olivary nucleus (for motor learning and motor timing), and spinocerebellar pathways (containing proprioceptive information).

The SCP primarily contains efferent fibers from the cerebellar nuclei, as well as some afferents from the spinocerebellar tract.

The MCP primarily contains afferents from the pontine nuclei.

The ICP primarily contains afferent fibers from the medulla, as well as efferents to the vestibular nuclei.
