Is surgical or other revascularization procedures an option in the treatment of Thromboangiitis Obliterans?
In small series, revascularization and endovascular procedures (angioplasty, thrombolytic therapy) have prevented amputation in some patients with critical limb ischemia. However, because vascular involvement is distal, appropriate sites for bypass graft insertion are frequently not present.
