How is Subarachnoid Hemorrhage treated?
Subarachnoid Hemorrhage is managed by securing the aneurysm as soon as possible and monitoring for vasospasm in an intensive care unit setting for up to 2 weeks.
Vasospasm may be evaluated by transcranial Doppler or CT angiogram.
Cardiac arrhythmias are common following SAH.
Pneumatic compression devices and subcutaneous heparinoid (once the aneurysm is secure) are used for DVT prophylaxis.
