How is GFR estimated in Children?

KDIGO recommends using an eGFR equation that incorporates height. Schwartz et al. produced an updated formula that does this.

The data were from 349 children with CKD. GFR was measured using iohexol clearance (updated Schwartz formula):

where eGFR is mL/min per 1.73 m2. Height is in meters. SCr is in mg/dL. Cystatin C is in mg/L. BUN is in mg/dL.
