What are the principle features, treatment, and prognosis of HBV associated PAN?
HBV-associated PAN has a more severe course with more frequent nerve, gastrointestinal, and heart involvement and less skin involvement compared with non-HBV-associated PAN. Treatment includes combination of immunosuppressive drugs, plasmapharesis, and antiviral agents. HBV-associated PAN has a higher (34%) mortality than non-HBV-associated PAN.
