What is a fibrolipomatous hamartoma (FLH)?
FLH is a benign overgrowth of the nerve consisting of fatty and fibrous tissue. The median nerve in the carpal tunnel is the most common site of such a lesion. It is seen on MRI as fatty infiltration and enlargement of the nerve surrounding lower signal intensity nerve fascicles, often with a coaxial cable-like appearance in cross-section
