Causes of orthostatic headaches
Other than low CSF volume syndrome such as postdural puncture headaches (PDPH) or spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH), here are the some other causes of orthostatic headaches
- Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome,
- after surgery for Chiari malformation,
- the syndrome of the trephined,
- increased compliance of the dural sac,
- occasional cases of colloid cyst of the third ventricle.
