Other than low CSF volume syndrome such as postdural puncture headaches (PDPH) or spontaneous intracranial hypotension (SIH), here are the some other causes of orthostatic headaches

  • Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome,
  • after surgery for Chiari malformation,
  • the syndrome of the trephined,
  • increased compliance of the dural sac,
  • occasional cases of colloid cyst of the third ventricle.
