Cardiac cephalalgia

What is cardiac cephalalgia

Cardiac ischemia rarely may cause a unilateral or bilateral headache in any part of the head brought on by exercise and relieved by rest.

This type of headache is called cardiac cephalalgia or anginal headache . Headaches may occur alone or be accompanied by chest pain.

In cases of unstable angina, headaches may occur at rest. A thunderclap headache may accompany the chest pain.
