What is Polatuzumab Vedotin

Polatuzumab vedotin is a CD79b-directed antibody-drug conjugate. It is indicated in combination with bendamustine and a rituximab product for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma following at least 2 prior therapies.

The FDA has granted polatuzumab vedotin accelerated approval and breakthrough therapy status for this indication; further study is required to verify clinical benefit.

Severe myelosuppression has been reported with polatuzumab vedotin therapy.
