What is Azelaic Acid Copper Folic Acid Nicotinamide Pyridoxine Zinc

Azelaic Acid Copper Folic Acid Nicotinamide Pyridoxine Zinc is a nutritional supplement for patients with acne vulgaris, rosacea, or other inflammatory skin disorders who are deficient in or at risk of deficiency in one or more of the components of the product.

The efficacy of adding azelaic acid; copper; folic acid; nicotinamide; pyridoxine; zinc to an existing regimen for inflammatory acne vulgaris was evaluated in an open-label prospective study.

After 8 weeks, 88% of patients (n= 235) reported a visible reduction in inflammatory lesions and 81% of patients rated their appearance as much or moderately better compared with baseline.

The use of this product has not been evaluated by the FDA and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Indications

• acne rosacea
• acne vulgaris
• nutritional supplementation

Side Effects

• naphylactoid reactions

In rare instances, allergic or anaphylactoid reactions have been reported with folic acid use. Monitor patients for signs and symptoms of hypersensitivity during therapy with azelaic acid; cooper; folic acid; nicotinamide; pyridoxine; zinc.

Monitoring Parameters

• pregnancy
