Bacillary peliosis hepatis
What is bacillary peliosis hepatis (BPH)? BPH produces multiple cystic blood-filled spaces in the liver. BPH is caused by an infection with the bacteria Bartonella henselae (formerly Rochalimae ) and occurs in patients with advanced AIDS.
