Who is at risk for Behcets disease?
- The disease occurs in both men and women equally, with the mean age of patients being approximately 30 years (range, 20–40 years).
- It is rare to occur in childhood and after the age of 50 years.
- The highest prevalence is in Turkey and Japan.
- Overall men get more severe disease.
