What is dementia with Lewy bodies?
A cognitive disorder that features:
- Fluctuating cognition
- Visual hallucinations
- Parkinsonism developing within a year of cognitive decline
- Rapid eye movement (REM) behavior disorder
- Worsens when treated with neuroleptics
- May also have orthostatic hypotension, delusions, and depression
