What adrenal lesions should NOT be biopsied?
- Because of the risk of hypertensive crisis, possible pheochromocytomas in any of the above situations should not be needled.
- Pheochromocytomas do not have specific imaging features and thus must be suspected clinically with confirmation testing for urine or serum catecholamines.
