What is the typical clinical profile of cerebral amyloid angiopathy? 

Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) is most common in elderly Caucasian individuals.

It is associated with Alzheimer’s disease, particularly in those carrying the ApoE4 allele. CAA hemorrhages have a predilection for the occipital cortex but may occur in any cortical region.
