If available, which type of craniospinal radiation should be performed in children?
Proton beam irradiation can reduce the amount of radiation to normal tissue without compromising the radiation dose delivered to the tumor, thus decreasing long-term morbidity.
However, this therapy is not widely available and needs expensive, specialized equipment.
