Prognosis of malignant gliomas
Have any clinical factors been shown to be useful in predicting prognosis in malignant (grade III and IV) gliomas?
Younger age, Karnofsky performance score (a scale used to quantify cancer patients’ general well-being and activities of daily life), and larger extent of initial surgical resection have been shown to improve prognosis.
