What is the loin pain hematuria syndrome (LPHS)?
Considered a diagnosis of exclusion in patients with hematuria,
LPHS is characterized by the presence of recurrent or persistent, severe, unilateral or bilateral flank pain accompanied by gross or microscopic hematuria.
Commonly seen in young, white females, it has been associated with chronic pelvic pain and with TBMN.
